Fund raising
Following our successful wine tasting evening in November we are planning another one on Friday, 27th April between 8.00 and 10.00pm to showcase summer wines. We will be ably lead by our local wine expert, the Rev Michael Eggleton and the evening promises to be both informative and fun. For tickets contact Anne Johnson on 01296 625171.
Defibrillator
We recently hosted a refresher course on the use of the hall's defibrillator. In case of an emergency this can be found on the left flank wall of the hall. The access code can be obtained by phoning the number on the box and simple instructions for its use are found with the defibrillator.
Film Location
The hall has recently been used as the setting for a short feature film. The film is about a potholing incident where the hall is the centre of a rescue operation. We don't have details of the film's title or its release but we will post more information when it is available.
New Chairs
We have purchased 60 new folding chairs to replace our old wooden chairs. These, along with our existing tables and chairs, are available to hall users as part of their hire agreement. Chairs and tables are also available for use by the local community in return for a suitable donation to hall funds, subject, of course, to any damaged or broken items being replaced by the borrower.
Super Fast Broadband
The Hall now has super-fast broadband hirers will be able to access this by obtaining the code from the booking secretary prior to the date of their function.
